NDA:
Alva’s PU College facilitates a large number of students with the essential competitive and patriotic spirit to take the NDA entrance examination. The subject experts and guest faculties from different reputed institutions coach, motivate, guide and encourage the students professionally to give the best performance and join the Defence Academy of India. A solved set of previous question papers is provided and a series of mock tests are also conducted to enable the aspirants to be successful in the examination.
NATA:

The exclusive NATA coaching classes along with the best regular classes enable the aspirants to excel both in the class 12 examinations and NATA entrance examinations. Alva’s is proud of the NATA students who topped in CET architecture ranking every year. This has become a reality as a result of the intensive coaching by NATA-365, a team of dedicated architectural faculties from Bangalore led by Prof. Vasanth K Bhat, Dean, Acharya School of Architecture, Bangalore.
NSS
NSS Activities :
Alva’s PU college NSS unit has been proved to be a synonym for meaningful social service during the last 11 years. It is a body of NSS officers and enthusiastic student volunteers who wish to contribute for a positive change in the society through selfless work and attitude. Alva’s PU college NSS unit 2015-16 batch has 150 dedicated student volunteers who actively participated in different year-round activities and events as the following:
- 4 NSS volunteers participated in the International Yoga Day celebration held at SDM College Ujire on 20 June and 21 June 2015.
- 10 NSS volunteers participated in the ‘Disaster Management’ workshop conducted by Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College Moodbidri.
- Female volunteers underwent a ‘female empowerment and security’ workshop held at Alva’s PU College, Moodbidri.
- All the NSS volunteers joined their hands to contribute to the ‘Swach Bharat Mission’ on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi by cleaning the streets of Vidyagiri.
- 50 NSS volunteers participated in the 7 days NSS special annual camp held at Mala, Karkal taluk.
- All the NSS volunteers contributed majorly to the grand success of ‘Alva’s Nudisiri’ and ‘Alva’s Virasat’ 2015 with their incredible volunteership.
- 4 NSS volunteers participated in the Youth Festival held in Brahmavar and bagged prizes in different events.
- 25 volunteers took part in the National Youth Day Celebration organized by Vivekananda Samithi, Moodbidri.
- 2 NSS volunteers participated in the Republic Day Parade held in Bengaluru.
- All the NSS volunteers contributed majorly to the grand success of ‘jambori with their incredible volunteership.
Literary Club
Inauguration of “Literary Club”
The inauguration of the ‘Literary Club 2016’ of Alva’s PU College was held on 22 July 2016 at V.S Acharya Auditorium, Vidyagiri, Moodbidri.

Renowned Kannada writer and orator Prof. Bhuvaneshwari Hegade inaugurated the club by lighting lamp and through her inaugural address, inspired the students to develop interest in literary activities.
Prof. Ramesh Shetty.H, Principal, Alva’s PU College who presided over the function, spoke on the importance of literary club in his presidential address. Mr. Abhinandan Shetty, AAO, Alva’s Education Foundation was present on the stage. The teaching and non-teaching staff members Alva’s PU College and hundreds of students participated in the function.
